The 20-year-old Dutch menswear and lifestyle magazine Fantastic Man is launching a Chinese edition, which will debut on digital platforms and release its first print issue in September.

Fantastic Man China will be published by Chinese fashion media company MC Style Media Group, which operates other international titles including W China and Marie Claire China, in collaboration with Shanghai Translation Publishing House, a prominent Chinese publisher of translated works. Fantastic Man China marks MC Style Media’s first foray into menswear, and will feature influential figures from Eastern and Western cultures. The magazine, which will be published bimonthly, will also launch two Xiaohongshu accounts during Men’s Fashion Week.

Former Wallpaper China editor-in-chief Jiacheng Guo will join the publication as editorial director and will report to MC Style Media Group CEO Alex Sun and chief content officer and W China editor-in-chief Mix Wei. Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati, the former creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, will join Fantastic Man China as editor at large.

Fantastic Man was founded in 2005 by editor-in-chief Gert Jonkers and creative director Jop van Bennekom; it released its sister women’s title The Gentlewoman in 2010. Fantastic Man‘s readership spans over 30 countries. The Chinese edition will be distributed across major cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
